Stuck Lucky: Hate The Light of Day

I've always thought those ska-core bands had better horn lines than actual ska bands. I honestly don't understand why, but that's what I think. This album and band really proves my point. This is an in your face, fast paced frenzy of ska. Mainly, after a few songs or so, an album seems to lose it's power, and all that. This album is different, it doesn't stop one bit. The album seems to actually gain power the more it goes on. They just have an amazing all around sound. If you like any type of ska or punk, then you'll absolutely love this this band. They mix elements of ska and punk together perfectly. They have such a unique sound, and that is a very, very good thing. I'm proud to own this album.

* I have permission from both the band AND the record company. You should still support this band buy donating, buying merch, or just going to a show. They tour a lot, and they're not hard to get a hold of. Remember they do this for you, and that's a lot of hard work, so you should show them you respect their work by supporting this band in some way.

Fatter Than Albert: Erin's Runaway Imagination

Get out your checkerboard sneakers and get ready to skank. It's Fatter Than Albert's release of Erin's Runaway Imagination. This band does an amazing job mixing in jazz into their ska music. Being from New Orleans also makes it that much better. This is the perfect album to just dance around to. Really, how can you not get up and just dance to it, seriously? This is heaven to any ska fans ears. These boys here really know how to play those instruments also. Fatter Than You is the perfect song to notice that in. Each instrument gets their own time to put in a solo. Trumpet, trombone, sax, keyboard/synth, guitar, drums and even a bit of bass all get their solos in. I honestly think this is a must own for any ska fan. It's got all the elements of punk, jazz, and ska all in one. What could be better?

No Target Audience: Gifts And Returns EP

This is an amazing Folk type Punk album. Five fast paced, energetic, feel good songs. I see lots of potential in this band. I see this band becoming one of the best local bands Cleveland has ever, or will ever have. If you haven't seen this band live, you probably should. Sadly, I haven't seen them yet, but I plan on it this Friday, a couple days before my 18th birthday. As much as I love when it was two of them making acoustic stuff, I'm glad they made the upgrade to add more people, and turn it into something more. Along with this five song EP, they also released a split with local band Asinine, where they have three songs. I really suggest this to just about anyone, no matter what type of Punk music you like.

Tracks:
1. Our Good Friends The Police (0:58)
2. The Earth (2:54)
3. Morning, When Everyone's Away (2:18)
4. High Horses For Tired People (3:23)
5. Passing Through (5:30)
